MSFS DCS Flight Simulation 2023
Hi this is Rick ‘NightHawk’ (or NightHawk1867) flying in microsoft flight simulator and digital combat simulator plus IL2 arma3 star citizen and cities skylines. Other interests include photography, military affairs, mental health, law and justice and occasional writing. Addicted to coffee and workouts. I’ve been into aviation since childhood and was lucky enough to earn a VFR small plane licence and a glider pilot licence with the Royal Canadian Air Force cadet program. The VFR flying was in a Cessna 152.
MSFS 2023. My aviation fleet includes all the default aircraft from 40th anniversary edition. My fleet has grown to include the Spitfire, Bombardier CRJ series, DHC6 Twin Otter and F35 plus I fly airliners Airbus a320neo FBW, a330–900 headwind, a310–300 inibuilds. With future aircraft a321neo and a330–800 from headwind and probably the Boeing b737–600 from PMDG. I fly regular with FireFly Air (TwoToneMurphy), Osprey (British AvGeek) and Gripper Sim. You can find me in their discord channels.
DCS 2023. My fleet has grown quite a lot to include; F/A18C Hornet, F16C Viper, AV8B Harrier, F5E Tiger II and Flaming Cliffs aircraft (F15C A10A Su27 Su33 MiG29A MiG29S Su25). Plus warbirds; Spitfire, Kurfurst, Thunderbolt and Mosquito. I fly some great community aircraft; A4EC Skyhawk, UH60L Blackhawk, T45 Goshawk, J39 Gripen, Bronco, A29B and C130 Hercules, Maps; Caucasus, Mariana Islands, Normandy, Persian Gulf, Syria and the Channel.
Of course there are always time constraints and the real world so I haven’t flown nearly enough. Hopefully in 2023 I can fly more in MSFS, DCS, IL2 and Star Citizen plus build another city in Cities Skylines.
I chose the name NightHawk in honour of RCAF 409 Squadron formed during World War II and served in Great Britain, France, Belgium, Germany. The 409 flew Bolton Paul Defiants, Beaufighters, Mosquitos. After the was the squadron flew CF-100 Avro Canucks, CF-101 Mcdonnell Voodoos. Later the squadron was disbanded and reformed in 2006 flying CF-118 (F-18) Hornets out of Cold Lake Alberta. Lest We Forget.
